The TYPSY GYPSYs are South Jersey's source for "uncommon bellydancing."
The troupe started in Austin, Texas, and expanded into South Jersey. We incorporate stylings from American Tribal, Gypsy Fusion, Cabaret, Gothic, Indian Bhangra, and whatever else we feel like doing.
Our annual "Winter Gypsies" show and hafla is held in February or March, with guest performers from all over South Jersey, Philadelphia area, and the Delaware Valley region. We are the featured dancers for South Jersey Pagan Pride Day, and can usually be seen at the New Kuban Historical Society at their (day before) Memorial Day and (day before) Labor Day fundraisers. For other events, check out our "Shows & Events" section on this website. New Jersey tribe members include (from left to right below): Denisea (troupe founder), Tsaritza, Zahirah, Guenwyfar, Munira, and Cossachka.
